A LITTLE ABOUT ME
From MySpace layouts to product design, I’ve always cared about how things look, feel, and work
LET’S TAKE IT BACK TO THE EARLY 2000’S
Myspace was my first introduction to digital design. I spent hours searching for code to build the best page my top 8 had ever seen. Falling stars, music, custom backgrounds… all of it.
I didn’t realize it then, but that was the beginning. Getting the layout just right mattered to me. Looking back, it’s clear I’ve always cared about design and how people experience it.
BEFORE UX, I WAS DESIGNING EXPERIENCES IN A DIFFERENT WAY
My career didn’t start in design. It started in student affairs and higher education, where I led university-wide initiatives and managed student programming. Earning my master’s in higher education deepened my understanding of human development and behavior.
That foundation carried into every role after. From leading DEI initiatives at a law firm to serving as Director of Education for a nonprofit, my work has always centered around people. Understanding them, supporting them, and creating experiences that actually matter.
Design was always part of that. I became the go-to for flyers, merch, and digital materials. It was the part I enjoyed most and the thing I kept coming back to.
I MADE THE PIVOT & NEVER LOOKED BACK
What started as small projects for friends and family turned into brand identities and websites, but I knew I wanted more than a side hustle.
UX design was where everything finally clicked. My background in human behavior and my love for design had a place to meet. I made the decision to pivot, enrolled in General Assembly’s UX immersive, and after completing the program, landed my first role as a UX designer at Expedia.
Today, I design with intention. Whether I’m building products or shaping brands, I’m always thinking about how something feels to use, not just how it looks. Because good design isn’t just about visuals. It’s about clarity, connection, and making things work the way they should.
